Introduction to Satellite Education on Quality Management

    Get PDF
Education provides access to subject matter experts, interaction with career role models. It provides interaction with students in other schools, increases access to information instructional resources, offers opportunities for staff development/in-service training, and increase school community linkages. The rapid growth of satellite networks has generated interest by many state officials in statewide satellite networks. Rural areas are showing great interest in interactive satellite instruction as a way to resolve teacher shortages and meet rigorous graduation requirements. Televised classes permitting live teacher-student interaction via satellite communication systems, and regular telephone lines provide equity increasing quality of educational opportunity

An atypical type II topoisomerase from Mycobacterium smegmatis with positive supercoiling activity

Topoisomerases are essential ubiquitous enzymes, falling into two distinct classes. A number of eubacteria including Escherichia coli, typically contain four topoisomerases, two type I topoisomerases and two type II topoisomerases viz. DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. In contrast several other bacterial genomes including mycobacteria, encode for one type I topoisomerase and a DNA gyrase. Here we describe a new type II topoisomerase from Mycobacterium smegmatis which is different from DNA gyrase or topoisomerase IV in its characteristics and origin. The topoisomerase is distinct with respect to domain organization, properties and drug sensitivity. The enzyme catalyses relaxation of negatively supercoiled DNA in an ATP-dependent manner and also introduces positive supercoils to both relaxed and negatively supercoiled substrates. The genes for this additional topoisomerase are not found in other sequenced mycobacterial genomes and may represent a distant lineage

Effect of Bio-degradation and Non Degradable Substances in Environment

Non-Biodegradable substances produce the greenhouse gasses, methane and carbon dioxide. Growing plants and trees on top of a landfill, a process known as ‘Phyto capping\u27, could reduce the production and release of these gasses. In certain parts of the world, it remains the most economical and simplest method of waste disposal. Biodegradation of organic matter in a landfill site occurs most rapidly when water comes into contact with the buried waste. An important step in the drive is to remove environmentally harmful materials from waste streams and drinking water. A synthetic clay known as swelling mica has the ability to separate ions of radium, a radioactive metal, from the water. The finding could have implications for radioactive and hazardous waste disposal, particularly in the cleanup of mill tailings left over from the processing of uranium for the nation\u27s nuclear industry. The tailings contain radium and heavy metals

DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF ANALYTICAL METHOD FOR IRBESARTAN AND ATORVASTATIN BY SIMULTANEOUS EQUTION SPECTROSCOPIC METHOD

    Get PDF
A simple, accurate and precise spectroscopic method was developed for simultaneous estimation of Irbesartan and atorvastatin in synthetic mixture usingsimultaneous eqution Method. In this spectroscopic  method, 226.00 nm and 246.00 nm wavelengths  were selectedfor measurement of absorptivity. Both the drugs show linearity in a concentration range of 05-30 μg/ml at theirrespective λmax. Accuracy, precision and recovery studies were done by QC samplescovering lower, medium and high concentrations of the linearity range. The relative standard deviation for accuracy, precision studies were found to be within the acceptance range (<2%). The limit of determination was 0.033μg/ml and 0.125 μg/ml for Irbesartan and atorvastatin, respectively. The limit of quantification was 0.1008 μg/ml and 0.3792 μg/ml for Irbesartan and atorvastatin, respectively. Recovery of Irbesartan and atorvastatin were found to be 99.75 % and 99.52% respectively confirming the accuracy of the proposed method. The proposed method is recommended for routine analysis since they are rapid, simple, accurate and also sensitive and specific by no heating and no organic solvent extraction. Keywords: Irbesartan, atorvastatin, simultaneous estimation, Simultaneous equation method, analysis metho

STUDY OF EMERGING TRENDS OF PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION IN NUCLEAR FAMILY

    Get PDF
Parents have become more concerned for child. In nuclear families parents pay more attention on child education; they plan school, college, career after discussion with field experts. Such consciousness increases their intention towards quality education. Parents belonging nuclear family pay more money rather than conventional family. They have financial plan also regarding study. In other families attention on child is distributed and unable to concentrate child only. This social trend influence child performance and quality education

STUDY OF EFFECT OF PRE TEACHING TRAINING EXPERIENCE ON STUDENT TEACHERS

    Get PDF
Pre teaching practice prepares prospective teachers through teaching practice which has an important role to get prior experience of teaching. When the student teachers begin their career with a high self-efficency on the classroom instruction and using the teaching methods, teaching aids they are more concerned, ambitious for their task and work harder. The purpose of this study is to find impact of pre teaching on student teachers in terms of teaching qualities
